There exists in modern society and absolute acceptance of the theory of evolution. If you press someone for evidence you hear “there’s a ton…” the only specific examples you’re given are “Darwin’s finches,” and bacterial changes. These examples however do not prove or support a change of kinds: one animal separating from another not allowing “inter-breeding.” Being a completely new “class” of organism. This is change within a species: for example dog breeds are varied but they are all still dogs.
The fossil record does no favor to the theory as well. All the supposed missing links have been proven forgeries and are still missing.
Why do people accept evolution as an absolute, beyond refutation in spite of there being no evidence? Further, why do Christian’s move to embrace such in spite of the theory denying biblical evidence and denying Scripture’s plain teachings?
For the former it’s that evolution provides an “get-off-the-hook” for behaving any way we’d like. We’re just animals after all, right? There is no God, science has “proven” that. Belief in a Creator is archaic thinking and not for “intelligent and educated people.” This dogma is accepted in society and totally false.
why do Christian’s accept evolutionary theory? Because we feel pressure to conform to the world. We already stand out in declaring the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ. We don’t want to “offend anyone.” The problem is that acceptance of evolutionary theory is a denial of scriptural authority and God’s creation of the cosmos ex-nihlo. The two, Christianity and evolutionary theory are NOT compatible in any way.
When arguments are brought up against evolution that we do not witness it as suggested it has occurred, “well it’s over millions of years.” why doesn’t the fossil record show that? “wait, er, um, well you see, punctuated equilibrium accounts for quick changes that happen so fast that we have no record.” it takes a lot of faith my friend, more than I can muster! I’ll trust in inerrant Creator of the universe and His Word, thank you
